The New Kroger Franklin Marketplace

Posted by on May 11, 2014 in Uncategorized | 2 comments

**Kroger selected several bloggers, including me, to create posts about the Franklin Grand Opening, and provided me with a $100 Kroger gift card, a gift bag valued at $100 and a complimentary lunch to thank me for my participation and post…

but all opinions are 100% mine!**

I’m typically not the type of person to be impressed with a grocery store.

I go grocery shopping because I have a family of people that depend on me to feed them.

This is not one of the errands on my list that I look forward to.

But after touring this new Kroger store in Franklin, TN…

…I realize it’s because I’ve never been to a grocery store like this!

Because wowzer!

This is not your average “run in and fill your basket as fast as you can so you can get on to what you really want to do” kind of grocery store.

This is an experience!

The flowers that greet you when you walk in the front door were over the top!

They have over 200 varieties that you can take home to arrange yourself, or their florist will arrange them for you!

Their produce section is full of local produce…

…and fruit that is ready to eat!

{Perfect for those days that you really want to feed your family healthy, but you spent too much time working on crafts instead. 🙂 }

And you can juice your own oranges right there in the produce section!

Not only are they committed to local produce, but you will also find more local products in the store…

…like these wonderful skincare products!

And I’ve never seen so many cheeses in all of my life!

And even better, the people who work at the cheese counter actually know about these cheeses!

They can tell you what to pair the cheeses with.

So the next time you have a party and you want to impress and you don’t want to cook…

…try a cheese tray.

{By the way, I’ve never tasted such delicious cheeses. Wow.}

And if you need something even quicker, they have some trays already made up!

Finally, I was totally impressed with this “natural” wall where you can buy all sorts of nuts and seeds in bulk.

And right down the aisle you can make your own peanut butter or almond butter!

I could really go on and on…

…like at the seafood counter where you can pick your fresh fish, they will add the right herbs, seal it in a special bag that you go home and put in your oven and have delicious fish ready in 20 minutes…

…and the bakery where they will work with you to create the perfect cake…

…and the kitchen section where you can buy really nice small appliances and gadgets.

I know for sure that I’ve never been so excited about a grocery store!

Well done, Kroger!

Life to the full!
