Easy Way to Frame a Picture

Posted by on Mar 12, 2014 in burlap, yard sale | 11 comments

Last Friday night as we were driving home, we spotted a neon pink sign on the side of the road announcing a yard sale the very next morning…

…Daisy and I were THRILLED!

We woke up early the next morning…

…convinced Lila Mae to go with us…

…brushed our teeth, threw hats on our heads and headed out the door!

If there was one yard sale there were bound to be more!

Only problem was…

…there was only ONE more.

And neither yard sale turned up anything that we couldn’t live without.

But no worries…I have a garden shed full of treasures from last season.

And today I’m going to show you a simple way to frame a picture.

Simple Way to Frame a Picture

How to Frame a Picture

Supplies:

self-sticking  mounting board

yard sale frame

yard sale picture

burlap ribbon

scissors

pencil

glue dots

How to Frame a Picture

Trace the inside of the frame onto the mounting board and cut out.

How to Frame a Picture

Remove protective coating to reveal the sticky part.

How to Frame a Picture

Cut pieces of the burlap ribbon the size of the blank space between the picture and frame.

Framing a Picture

Stick picture on top.

How to Frame a Picture

Use glue dots to secure the edges of the burlap.

{If you are going to cover the picture with glass, then you don’t have to use the glue dots.  The glass would hold it into place. But I LOVE the texture of this watercolor paper, so I opted for no glass.}

How to Frame a Picture

Pop the board into the frame.

Find the perfect spot for your new picture.

And enjoy!

Yard sale season should be in full swing soon!

Just another reason that I LOVE Spring!

Life to the full!
