Sometimes I worry.
I worry about things that have never happened and other things that will probably never happen.
So the other night as I lay awake busying my mind with my latest random worry thought…
…and I was praying that the Lord would take the worry from me…
…this simple, refreshing thought came to mind.
“Instead of mulling over all of this worry ~ Start counting your blessings.”
Because in all of the worry…
…I was missing the blessings.
The blessings that have filled my life to overflowing.
The blessings that have happened.
And I vowed that on that day I would replace every thought of worry with a thought of thankfulness.
And you know what happened?
My heart was nearly busting at the seams as I lived that day. 🙂
And I sang as I put this simple spring arrangement together!
And one of the things that I gave thanks for was the beautiful Spring day!
So here is an arrangement that can be made in just a few minutes and will remind you that Spring is on its way.
empty urn
garland of greenery

nest
Fill the top of the urn with the garland.
Add the flower covered balls.
Add the nest.
Then find a place in your home for you to enjoy your new Spring centerpiece.
And today may you and I both replace every thought of worry…
…with thoughts of thankfulness…
…and may our hearts be full instead of burdened!
Life to the full!
Melissa
I always love you posts, but I really needed this one today. Thank you for blessing so many lives and especially for the peace you’ve brought me today. Grace and peace to you and yours.
How pretty! I did something similar in our entry way. It’s definitely time to bring out the bird nests. 🙂
Melissa- What a wonderful turn around in your thinking! Love it- xo Diana
How lovely. I know I can get every thing, but where do I find the urn. I would love to try and make this. I am so happy you share your talent. Especially to those of us that have none. Thanks. Susan
So pretty Melissa, great post!!

Thank you for your lovely blog! I so enjoy following you.
Once during Bible Study, our wonderful teacher told us that WORRY is actually a sin. Wow! I had never stopped to think of it in that way. That changed my life. Worry was inherited, Granny did it….Mom did it. A very natural thing for me. It almost seemed that if I didn’t worry about everything, it meant I didn’t care. Not so! Sometimes, I am concerned, but I really have turned it over to God and stopped worrying like I use to do. I don’t have those miserable tension headaches like I used to have all the time. So sweet Melissa, it sounds like you are on the right track. Keep going girl friend!

Beautiful Spring arrangement, Melissa! And you know, I often wake up around 4AM and I can’t get back to sleep because I am worrying. Last night {well, this morning} I started just saying the verse ” Be anxious for nothing…” and it totally calmed my worrisome Mama brain. Thanks for sharing this sweet post and your thoughts! xo
Lovely post. Lovely arrangement. And I love that urn.
Beautiful arrangement and even better sentiment! I’m a worrier myself, so this is so refreshing!
I am right with you, Melissa. I worry too. Thanks for this today! Much needed! Your robin eggs are the perfect touch to this arrangement!
