Progress is being made…
…my master bedroom is dangerously close to being done!
Dangerous in the sense that I’m so pleased with where it stands…
…that I might not finish the last projects on the original list.
So here are a few master bedroom decorating ideas!
I’ve bought a new desk for my hubby’s bedside table.
{Still need a new desk chair – one of the projects that must be finished!}
I’ve gold leafed the bed and painted all of the furniture.
I’ve created a gallery wall above my new nightstand.
{A special thanks to my friend Julie for gifting me with this BEAUTIFUL piece of furniture!}
I’ve made a burlap mat for our family picture.
Along with a burlap bedskirt.
I’ve hung pictures and set out accessories.
{I still need to replace that rocking chair.}
I’ve framed this original watercolor.
{Details on the blog soon.}
And for the last project, I’d like to replace the 80’s ceiling fan with a lovely french chandelier.
No luck yet in finding what I’m looking for yet.
It’s out there. I can be patient.
I’m happy to report that my husband loves our new room as much as I do!
And if those last projects don’t get completed…
…well, worse things have happened!
Life to the full!
Melissa

I simply love everything. I have a bed similar to that and never thought of spray painting it black. You are very LUCKY to be gifted your bureau. Love the hardware on the other bureau. You have inspired me. Thank you

Your room is stunning. I love your dresser and that bed is gorgeous. Everything looks so pretty. Hugs, Marty
Everything looks lovely! I especially love the night stand and gallery wall! It’s all come together beautifully!
Interesting blog! Is your theme custom made or did
you download it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would
really make my blog jump out. Please let me know where you got your design.
Cheers
It’s beautiful! I especially like the chest used as the nightstand. I love non-traditional nightstands. Will you come do my master?
It looks so beautiful Melissa!
Beautifully designed bedroom! You gold leafed the bed frame- wow! That was a big job! That chest your friend gave you is quite nice- and I can tell it’s quite old because of the way the wood grain looks- very nice piece! I like the desk as a nightstand- dual purpose- which is a good thing! Your frames and collages that you created are all so lovely and I’m impressed that you made the burlap bedskirt! People complain about ceiling fans but they sure do help make a room comfortable!
i love how you placed a small desk bedside. ingenious.
Beautiful! The bed looks awesome with the gold leaf. I love the gifted piece of furniture too. Great friend I’d say! If you’re tired of working on this room, you’re welcome to come and help me with mine! 🙂
