Parade of Homes Inspiration

Posted by on Dec 8, 2014 in Uncategorized | 5 comments

Being a blogger has it’s perks.

Take last week for instance.

I was invited to attend the King’s Chapel Parade of Homes in Arrington, TN.

And let me just tell you that it knocked my socks off!

Hello Jello.

The inspiration and ideas were mind boggling.

And I met so many new friends and I laughed and I drooled and I took more pictures than I physically thought was possible in a 2 hour stretch…and I think I’m going to have to take my husband back. 🙂

Because I saw things like this incredible barn wood ceiling…

barn wood ceiling

interesting ceiling treatment

…and this totally amazing tobacco stick ceiling.

{I’m trying to figure out what room I have that is going to get this treatment…and trying to track down a tobacco farmer that has a few of these sticks laying around! 🙂 }

kitchen

I saw kitchens like this…

metal and barnwood range hood

and this.

neutral Christmas decorations

I saw family rooms like this…

Peace sign

…and this.

soaker tub

I saw bathrooms like this…

white bathroom

…and this…

beautiful bathroom

…and this.

tent bed

And now I’m wishing that I had a little boy so I could make him a bed like this…

art on tobacco sticks

…and paint up a forest for him like this.

beautiful nursery

And a nursery like this is almost enough to make me want to have another baby!

teen girls room

And I have 3 girls who would all love for me to incorporate a few of these ideas into their bedrooms!

And that isn’t even a fourth of what I saw.

Total inspiration!

My mind was swirling with ideas as I drove home.

So if you are anywhere near the King’s Chapel community in Arrington…you really don’t want to miss this!

And part of the proceeds from the ticket sales go to Middle TN Make a Wish.

Life to the full!

Melissa

  4. Hi. Just beautiful. I was wondering if you had any clue how to acquire the end of bed seating (fainting sofa) in the all white bedroom. I have scoured the internet and have found nothing. Any information at all would be appreciated. Thanks. Kris
