Old Door for Photos

Posted by on May 7, 2013 in crafts, Daisy's room, yard sale | 14 comments

We were sitting at the dinner table last night,

when my oldest daughter, Daisy said with a smile,

“I learned something new about myself today.”

It is always fun to make new discoveries about yourself.

I thought maybe she was going to share a new food she likes.

Or, a new interest that she has.

She is a creative child.

With the cutest room.

She was thrilled to pieces when she found this old door at a yard sale.

She knew that it would be perfect for her room.

Looking great with the old ladder bookcase.

Just the right spot to hang some of her Instagram pictures.

That she loves to subject her sisters to.

{She keeps telling them that they are going to love looking at them one day.}

So, imagine our surprise at what she learned.

Notice her name.

Maybe you will see it when I spell it like this.

D a I s Y.

D-I-Y is not only in her blood,

It is actually in her name.

She is my D-I-Y child!

Gotta love a new discovery.

  1. That is so cool! I’m sure Daisy has that DIY gene! ;-D I love the door, what a fantastic idea! Are those your three daughter with their hanging on the bed? They are beauties!

I had Abby 3 years after I had Emily. Emily was sitting there playing with the cards and gifts we had received after the birth. She asked for her little scissors and began to cut up a card that had the big letters BABY on it. After she cut them she rearranged the letters any laid them out on the floor to spell ABBY! I nearly fell over. She was only 3!!! Kids are a lot smarter than we give them credit for!
