My Gold Leaf Bed is Finished…and a GIVEAWAY!

Posted by on Feb 5, 2014 in master bedroom | 21 comments

We’ve lived in this house now for 14 years.

When we first moved in, Daisy was 15 months and Anna Belle was on her way.

I was tired.

And I wanted a bedroom that felt like a cocoon

…a room that I could go into at any time of day

and sleep sound.:)

But now that everyone is sleeping normal nighttime hours… I don’t need a napping room.

Now I need a room that wakes me up with the sunrise!

So this much neglected room is getting a makeover.

It’s not finished yet, but it sure has come a long way in the past few weeks!

And if you read all the way to the end…

you’ll see where you could win a $50 Kirkland’s gift card to start on your own makeover!

Neutral Master Bedroom

So let me show you what I’ve done…

Gold Leaf Bed

I’ve gold leafed our bed.

{Originally from The Bombay Company…Remember them?}

And added a new quilt and throw pillow.

Desk for Bedside Table

I’ve caved into the idea of a desk in our bedroom for David.

And I must admit that I like the new bedside table desk.

Gold Leaf Number

I’ve gold leafed a 5.

Painted Dresser

I’ve painted my grandmother’s furniture.

And made a burlap mat for our family picture.

Stacked Wicker Chests

I really haven’t bought much.

But I couldn’t resist the boxwood wreaths a minute longer and snatched this one up at Kirkland’s.

Plan for my Master Bedroom

I’ve done several things…

…but there are still plenty more projects to get this room finished!

And when I was in Kirkland’s the other day…

…I saw a couple more things that would’ve looked great in here!

Cream Chevron Throw from Kirkland's

Like this beautiful cream throw.

{Perfect for the new chair that I’m still looking for!}

Always Kiss Me Goodnight Pillow from Kirkland's

And this precious burlap pillow.

{That would be the perfect companion for the cream throw on the new chair.}

And now to get you started on your next project, here is a chance for you to

win a $50 Kirkland’s gift card!

**Kirkland’s is kind enough to provide this gift card to one of my lucky readers, but let me just tell you that they have AMAZING things right now, and all opinions are mine!  And, yes that boxwood wreath is amazing!**

You can read my full disclosure here.

Life to the full!
