The Holidays are all about home and hospitality for me so I was so glad when Sonya asked me to be a part of this series
And as I thought about home and hospitality, I thought about what I love about a holiday home.
I surely love the decorations and the food and the stories and the laughter.
But I also LOVE the smells!
So today I’m going to share my favorite recipe for homemade simmering potpourri!
And make sure to check to end of this post for 6 more amazing ideas for hospitality filled holidays!
oranges
fresh cranberries
rosemary
cloves
cinnamon sticks
clear bags
ribbon
printable tag
To use in your own home:
Quarter the orange and add the rest of the ingredients to a pan suitable for the stovetop.
Cover with water and simmer on medium low.
Keep adding water!
You can use this for the entire holiday season.
Just keep it in the pan…keep adding water…and heat when you want to fill your home with a wonderful holiday fragrance!
To make for gifts:
Package up all of the ingredients in a clear bag.
Tie with a ribbon.
Add the printable tag.
Store in the fridge until you need a quick gift!
They make great hostess gifts!
And they also are great for when you have a few friends over and you want to just gift them with a little something.
I made a free printable just for you!
