Three years ago, we had one of the biggest snowfalls ever…
…and we weren’t prepared.
We had NO sleds!
We frantically called every Target, Walmart, and hardware store in town.
Still no sleds.
That didn’t stop us from joining a group of friends on a great hill and borrowing everyone else’s sleds and sliding down that hill all afternoon, and when our children couldn’t find a free sled, they just slid down on their bellies.
So, Santa made sure that each girl had their own sled that next Christmas.
And, it hasn’t snowed since.
We flush ice cubes,
wear pj’s inside out,
put a spoon under our pillow,
and still NO snow!
Maybe this snowball wreath will do the trick! 🙂
Using a low temp hot glue gun, glue the larger balls to the form.
Fill in with the smaller ones.
Add a thick coat of decoupage to the styrofoam.
Making it really thick in some places.
Then, add the snow.
And, if I wasn’t a bow loving girl, I would have stopped right here.
So simple and pretty.
But, I just had to add that bright red bow!
Any other ideas for getting the snow to fall?!
Believe me, my girls will try it all! 🙂
Life to the full!

Very adorable and creative! We had that same snow about 3 years ago and didn’t have sleds either. My husband and I used a lid from one of our large plastic bins. It worked perfectly!
Hi Melissa,
I love the Snowball wreath. About the sleds 1-first starting checking the Goodwil1. 2-What you will need to make your sled/s
1- 1 heavy duty garbage bag that is the best is the big black one bag.
2- cut a piece of heavy duty cardboard 1 1/2″ smaller on each side of the bag.
3 – then cut that piece about 4/5″ from top of bag,put cardboard in bag
4 – fold bag down in side use duck tape to hold it.
5 – fold the rest of the bag over the top to cover the folded in side
use the duck tape to hold that bag over the cardboard so maybe it won’t get wet 6 -try it out if it won’t go fast spray with Pam let it dry. then go have fun.
Awwwwww…we get a TON of snow! I’ll send you a semi-load along about January~;>) The kids here even use big pieces of cardboard as a slider-it works great- xo Diana
I LOVE this wreath! I love snow, if I could, I’d move somewhere that it snows most of the year. This wreath is wonderful, so clever! 🙂
Super cute…totally love it! I love simple designs that pop and this certainly qualifies! Plus, I am a total sucker for anything red! 😉
This is such a cute wreath! I love it! Let’s hope for some snow, so you can use your sleds this year.
