Garden Hose Wreath

Have you ever had a yard sale…and had a car drive by slowly…trying to decide if your junk was worthy of stopping for…

…only to have the car keep driving.

I mean, you don’t want the stuff any more…but it hurts somehow to have someone else not even think your stuff worthy of stopping for.

I typically try to stop at every yard sale…or at least not make eye contact with the host as I drive by.

I must admit that me and my crew did several “drive-bys” this weekend.

But when I saw this garden hose rolled up…I knew we had to stop!

I knew it would make the perfect summer wreath for my garden shed!

Garden Hose Wreath

old garden hose

fake flowers

floral wire

ribbon for bow (and for the record, I changed my mind about this bow and made another one!)

Roll the hose into a pleasing wreath shape and cut with a serrated knife.

Wire the top together and make a loop out of the wire to hang it with.

{Somehow I forgot to take a picture of the wire part…probably had something to do with the squabble my children were having in the front yard…followed by the door to door salesman trying to talk me into a new alarm system…followed by the dog running off…just a couple of distractions. 🙂 }

Add the flowers under the wire.

And enjoy your new wreath!

And may your weekend be full of yard sales worthy of stopping for. 🙂

Life to the full!

Don’t you love all the fresh delicious fruits this time of year. Hubs not too crazy about black berries but think he’ll love them in a cobbler with ice cream. Oh yummmm.
