How to Make a Wreath for Spring

Posted by on Apr 6, 2014 in front door, wreaths | 15 comments

For those who’ve said a prayer for my MomTHANK YOU!

She’s healing up quite nicely…PRAISE THE LORD!

My family just spent the past several days at my folks house.

We cooked and cleaned and…

…made a wreath.

It was only natural.

I learned my wreath making skills from my Mom…

…who ALWAYS has a wreath on her front door.

But this time as we topped the hill on their driveway…an EMPTY door awaited.

It just didn’t seem right.

So I had to make her a spring wreath!

So I climbed into the attic and found a wreath that had never been used.

{My Mom and Dad used to make her own grapevine wreaths. They’d go out into the woods and find the vines and spend the afternoon making wreaths. Too sweet.} :)

I cut apart 2 fern garlands and worked them around the entire wreath.

Next I cut apart a bush of blue flowers and worked them in.

I added more to the bottom of the wreath than I did the top.

Next came a spray of wispy white flowers.

Once again, I cut them apart and worked them into the bottom half of the wreath.

The last step was to cut apart a spray of yellow flowers and add them to the bottom half.

And there I have one wreath ready to greet the guests at my parents house.

A bare door just isn’t right!

{By the way, she loved her new wreath!}

Life to the full!
