Family Room Decorations

I’m so thankful that I was productive last week.

Because unless you count being productive as…keeping a fire goingand making plenty of hot chocolateand slice and bake chocolate chip cookiesand playing Sorryand watching countless episodes of “19 Kids and Counting”…all while wearing pajamas…

…I’ve been less than productive.

But that’s ok, because I’ve soaked up these days of nothing with my girls…

…and the “productive” thing can wait.

School will eventually start back again! 🙂

So here is how my family room decorations are shaping up.

I’m really trying to go for simple this year with my decorating.

I seem to have a tendency to overfill every wall and flat surface in my house.

I’m really only keeping the things that I LOVE.

{Which means I’m about to sell scads of stuff!}

And I’ve come to the realization that I don’t have to use everything at one time.

I added these sweet chairs back to the family room.

Even though my girls are a bit older now, they still love to sit at this table to play games, and I do have little ones that come over from time to time.

And we also have this table for games and homework.

As for these chairs, they hopefully are going to get recovered soon.

I’m still trying to decide if I should tackle them myself or if I should just pay to have them recovered.

Just found out that school does start back tomorrow…

…I guess “productive” starts tomorrow also!

Maybe I’ll tackle those chairs.

Life to the full!
