DIY Pom Pom Wreath

Posted by on Aug 18, 2013 in Uncategorized, wreaths | 7 comments

So, as I was standing at my kitchen counter today,

hot gluing pom poms all over my yarn wrapped straw wreath…

…my oldest informed me that one of her favorite things to do

is to make up new names for styles.

This coming from a girl who bought 3 decorating books last week alone

{with her own money.}

She knows style.

So, she named this wreath…

…Funky Farmhouse.

I like it.

The supply list is pretty simple:

1 yarn wrapped straw wreath

2 big bags of pom poms in an assortment of sizes and colors

hot glue

I found that it was best to start with the BIG pom poms

and glue on one color at a time,

adding the smaller pom poms in the bare spaces,

until the entire wreath was covered.

And, in about 10 minutes,

I had completed this Funky Farmhouse wreath.

It is going to be perfect in Anna Belle’s room.

Which I am hoping will be ready for its BIG REVEAL next week 🙂

Life to the full!

  5. So pretty and festive. Can hardly wait to see her room. You must be a room redoing nut, you’re always at it. When will you be doing your other daughters room? You’ve done 2 of them now. Sounds like fun tho, you never run out of ideas of things to do. Will be interesting to see how the wreath ties into her room. Have fun and enjoy.

  6. Love this! Hey, where did you get your big bags of pom poms?

  7. Adorable name! Nice work. A great project to have the kids help with… at least with the pompoms, maybe leave the gluing for the adults. Thanks for sharing!
