This is the year that I plan for Christmas. Like REALLY plan. Every. Last. Detail.
I’m usually a fly by the seat of my pants girl.
Not this year.
This year my motto is: “If you fail to plan, You plan to fail.”
So today I’m going to be sharing my to-do list for this week.
And don’t forget:
Yesterday was just amazing…ideas and inspiration galore!
So while y’all sit back and enjoy these tours…I’ll be getting ready for Christmas.
My To-Do list for the week:
1. Order Christmas Cards ~ Buy stamps ~ Start working on Christmas address list
2. Start my Christmas Notebook {I get a spiral notebook to keep everything in one place ~ staple an envelope to the front cover to keep receipts in ~ label some pages *Gift List *Menus *Fun Christmas Ideas * Elf Ideas
3. Start Shopping ~ the goal is to be done by December 1.
4. Buy gift wrap supplies
5. Start “stocking stuffer bags” ~ I keep 3 bags {one for each child} in my closet with their names on them ~ when I find a stocking stuffer for them, I just add it to the bag ~ start shopping for these tiny treasures
6. Buy gift cards
And there is my list for week one of Planning for Christmas!
Hot Chocolate, peaceful days, Christmas movies, Cookie decorating parties…here we come!

I LOVE our house at Christmas…and in case you don’t know, the house you are reading about above IS our house…and I can’t wait until Christmas. Every Christmas something will look different and more festive than the year before. My only job is to build the fire…and maybe decorate the tree. The rest looks like it came right out of Southern Living or a Norman Rockwell painting. It’s my favorite time of year. IF you think know someone who is better at planning the Christmas season, I’d like to meet them cause I just might be married to Mrs. Claus.
wow, now that is a husband that appreciates his wife’s talent….super sweet
super awesome!!!!!
