I know…I know what you’re thinking…
…it’s too early to be thinking about Christmas decorations!
But this year I am going to be prepared for December.
I’m not going to be running around like a wild woman…irritated with people who are driving too slow…and frustrated that the store doesn’t have what I’m looking for…and grabbing dinner on the run every night because there is just too much to get done.
Not me.
Not this year.
This year I am going to be sipping hot chocolate with my girls…curling up by a fire watching Christmas movies…making cookies for friends…driving around looking at Christmas lights…and enjoying every minute of this special holiday.
And in order for that to happen. I am going to have to get a head start.
Which means decorating a few spaces a bit earlier than usual.
Sonya from At Home With The Barkers and I have teamed up to bring you some mantel inspiration!
For the next 3 days, we are going to be bringing you the best of the best of Christmas Mantel Ideas!
So here is my mantel all decked out for Christmas.
Make sure to check the end of this post for more Christmas Mantel Ideas!
This year I am going with the red and green theme.
I borrowed my boxwood wreath from my bedroom and added a red and green bow.
I added some apples to my juniper trees.
{Fake apples…but the green was just perfect!}
And even though I am starting early with the decorating…
…I still just couldn’t bear to add the stockings yet.
Those will have to wait for December. 🙂
Life to the full!
Melissa
LOVE it all Melissa! I used that gorgeous green ribbon last year!! The apples are a great touch. I have to say, I almost left out my stockings too because it felt too soon but it just felt better with them there. I’m glad to say my Christmas season will be filled lots of hot chocolate too. Thanks for hosting this tour with me ~Sonya

Melissa it all looks so beautiful! I absolutely love the apples and the boxwood wreath is gorgeous. Well done girl!
Beautiful Melissa – but everything you touch seems to delight me! I must see if I can buy a boxwood wreath – I guess there is so much you can do with it moving it around your home to enjoy! Thank you.
Love the wood accents and natural feel with the green. So pretty! For the first time in a long time, I am looking forward to the holiday season and beginning new traditions for my sweet girl and I. I am putting up early this year too. Hot chocolate, season of lights, and a gingerbread house class at our local shop. Cheers!
Boxwood and green apples will fit right into my color scheme for this Christmas. Thanks for the inspiration. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music
