All is right in my world today…

…school was cancelled due to ice…

{the 8 phase plan worked :)}

…my girls are listening to Christmas music and painting their traditional “First Snow Day” picture

…we’re all still in our pj’s…

…we’re making our list for Hobby Lobby…

…and enjoying our house all decked for Christmas!

Hope you enjoy my Christmas Home Tour!

And, who says wrapping paper is just for gifts?

This paper was so cute, I had to add it to the back of my hutch!

It’s the perfect backdrop for my sweet kissing Claus’s. 🙂

I hope all is right in your world today as well.

  6. Your home looks beautiful and festive, Melissa! I’m drawing up a list for Hobby Lobby, too, although it’s just for some supplies. : )

  7. Sincerely love everything you have done Melissa, so pretty and so happily festive. Must have been so fun for all you gals to stay home in jammers. I envy you the time with your girls, they go by much too quickly. Smart of you to enjoy every minute you can with them.
You have so many awesome decorations. Wish I could have gotten my wrought iron silver painted reindeer and all my bells out but that’s ok, maybe next year. Seeing your pretties reminded me. My things are out in box hubs refused to try to get to.
I have some of that red/white burlap ribbon. Used it to hang a wreath on my mirror in l/r. Hubs got my last vintage window out of shed today, even cleaned it up for me. Then he stapled some long needle pine garland and cedar garland with berries (I found in a box in bottom) onto sides and top of window, put it on the shutter shelf. Looks great, then I put a smaller wreath on top middle window pane. Such fun. Got our tree finished, about 3 ft. tall, not too bad for a tomato cage/pine garland/$tree ornamented tree. Think I’m done, don’t want to overdo our small l/r. At least it looks like Christmas in l/r now. Loving it.
Have fun, enjoy your trip to HL with the girls. Happy holidays

  8. I love Christmas at our house. It feels like I’ve walked right into a magazine. A magazine called “Awesome Christmas House Magazine”.

There are times when I walk downstairs and feel like I have stepped into a classic holiday commercial….and I think, “Man I’d better get that Folger’s brewing before Peter comes home from college!”…but that would be odd since I don’t have a son named Peter who is at college. I don’t even have a son…but you get the idea. Our house is one notch short of the North Pole when it comes to holiday cheer.

…and my favorite part is when mommy kisses Santa Claus.

  9. Your home is just brimming with lots of gorgeous ideas!!! Thanks for this wonderful tour! Linking back from Savvy Southern Style

  13. What a lovely home! I love it all, but your decorated front porch is full of inspiration (maybe for next year!)

  14. Love your decorations! Now I wish I had kept my ice skates after I grew out of them! Love Love Love the large woven star. Dropping by from Met Monday.

  15. Did you make the rustic wooden reindeer on your porch? I’d love to have a pattern or know where you purchased them? Love your beautiful home!
