Chalkboard Wall

My oldest daughter loves to decorate.

She is constantly changing something in her room.

As soon as she gets everything looking just the way she thought she wanted it…

…she starts to change it all up.

{I have NO IDEA where she gets this from?! :)}

The latest addition is the chalkboard wall.

This wall should provide tons of easily changed decorating options!

New pictures can be drawn or washi-taped inside frames…

…because the Instagram pictures continue to roll…

…and the magazine inspiration continues to be pulled…

…and there is always a new “chalkboard design” that needs to be tried out.

So, now that we have

Spray Painted Lampshades,

Made Curtains out of Tablecloths,

Made Inspiration Boards,

and painted an entire wall with chalkboard paint,

this make-over is complete…

…for now. 🙂

Life to the full!

  1. This is absolutely adorable!!!! I love every bit of it!! Just today I was discussing chalkboard walls and how much I love the idea. Pinning! 🙂

  2. She sure is headed in her Mom’s direction, how lucky she is. Using her wonderful imagination, learning what she likes and how to implement it. Wonderful start. You must be quite proud of her as you are of all the girls. Each one will have her own ideas and learn to use them, stand behind them. What fun being a Mom is and discovering how our children will turn out. You are so lucky Melissa.
Love the chalkboard wall, how much fun she can have on that wall and discover ideas. It looks so cute how she’s got it decorated now. Will look forward to future art projects.
Hope you and family are having a fabulous Fall. Happy week

  9. Seriously loving this wall, and am now considering doing my own chalkboard wall in our home! What a great idea. That wall should keep your daughter busy for awhile 🙂

  10. I love the Chalkboard Wall, especially the ‘framed’ art work! Am leaning towards doing this in my 13 year old daughter’s room as we move towards a room makeover. Could I ask what brand of Chalkboard Paint you used? and how many coats? Also, does the chalk completely erase? and is there chalk dust that accumulates when the wall is erased? my daughter’s room is carpeted, and the dust can be vacuumed but we are considering going to wood floor. Thank you in advance for your reply.
