Chalk Painted Desk

You would want to know my friend Julie.

She’s a listener and she’s thoughtful and she loves to make people feel welcome in her home.

She loves to laugh and to make others laugh.

She’s the kind of lady that you go to when you have something that you really need to have prayed for because you know she’s really going to pray.

And I still love her even though she rolled my house {yes, with toilet paper} when Alabama lost :( and Auburn won.

I’m decorating her office.

I want the space to be everything she is…

…and I want her to smile every time she walks in her new space.

I just finished this desk.

And I think it’s going to be perfect.

It’s warm.

And those yellow flowers add just the right amount of “happy.”

I plan on adding a gallery wall full of the pictures she loves the most {her children}.

And a super comfy white leather desk chair.

I’m trying to find a way to work in a bit of Crimson… :)

{…because who really likes orange anyway?! :) }

And if you’re the kind that likes to see a good before and after.

Well here is the before…

And here’s the after!

I sanded the top down and added dark wax and polyurethane.

I painted it with Annie Sloan Duck Egg mixed with Pure White.

Then I lightly distressed and clear waxed everything.

Life to the full!
