Master Bedroom Decorating Ideas

Progress is being made…

…my master bedroom is dangerously close to being done!

Dangerous in the sense that I’m so pleased with where it stands…

…that I might not finish the last  projects on the original list.

So here are a few master bedroom decorating ideas!

Annie Sloan Coco Paint

I’m in the process of decorating our master bedroom.

I’m almost done.

So close to being done…that I’ve almost stopped working on it…

…before it’s finished.

You know what I’m talking about.

You work and work and work on a project…and then you just leave the last things on the list undone.

You’re bored with that project and ready to move on to the next.

So today when I was fanning through my paint deck trying to pick out the perfect shade of cream for my kitchen (which is the next project)

I stopped myself…and marched myself up to my room…and finished another project that needed to be done in there.

I AM GOING TO FINISH THIS ROOM BEFORE I START ON ANOTHER!

And I’ll be so glad that I did. 🙂

So today I pulled out the Annie Sloan Coco paint.

How to Make a Burlap Bedskirt

Is is possible for your brain to freeze?

You see, I’m typically a very productive sort…I have ideas…and I have things I want to make and do and try

…but lately I’m having a hard time getting motivated.

We haven’t had a flake of snow fall.

But our skies have been gray and our temperatures have been having a hard time reaching double digits.

And it is leaving me feeling sapped.

Luckily I had this idea before the brain freeze hit.

And luckily it took zero creative juices to complete.

Here is how to make a burlap bedskirt! 🙂

My Gold Leaf Bed is Finished…and a GIVEAWAY!

We’ve lived in this house now for 14 years.

When we first moved in, Daisy was 15 months and Anna Belle was on her way.

I was tired.

And I wanted a bedroom that felt like a cocoon

…a room that I could go into at any time of day

and sleep sound.:)

But now that everyone is sleeping normal nighttime hours… I don’t need a napping room.

Now I need a room that wakes me up with the sunrise!

So this much neglected room is getting a makeover.

It’s not finished yet, but it sure has come a long way in the past few weeks!

And if you read all the way to the end…

you’ll see where you could win a $50 Kirkland’s gift card to start on your own makeover!

How to Make a Burlap Mat for a Picture

Do you have one of those rooms in your house that you never get quite right?

You try a few things here and there…

…but it just never seems to come together.

It ends up being a catch all room for whatever odds and ends don’t have a place anywhere else in the house.

That has been our master bedroom for the past…welllet’s see…14 years.

This is the year that changes!

I’m ready to have a master bedroom that is a havena place of peace

not a giant holding room for laundry and wrapping paper!

And, what is my plan?

To do one small project a week until it is calming, cozy and clean.
