My favorite time of year is officially here.
Halloween is over…
…and now we’re on to Thanksgiving!
I began hosting the Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago.
With 3 kiddos, and a traveling hubby,
I really wanted to be HOME for Thanksgiving.
I’m so thankful that all of the families obliged…
…and I’m so thankful to be preparing my home for the big day. 🙂
If you are tall and you come to my house you might hit your head…
…I’m sorry.
I just got carried away.
I totally intended to have SIMPLE and HAPPY Halloween decorations.
My simple ended up looking painfully plain.
And then I was at Target this morning and there was a giant team of people unloading cart after cart of Halloween decorations.
And lined up under all the costumes were plastic pumpkin candy buckets.
The kind like I used to have.
And they were only $1!
So I bought 5…I had a plan for a Happy Halloween front porch!
I like sweet tea.
Let me rephrase that. . .
. . . I LOVE sweet tea.
As a child, I went straight from milk to sweet tea.
My mama packed it in my thermos every day for lunch.
No Kool-aid for me as a child.
I would like to share something with you today. . .
Possibly the greatest thing since adhesive plate hangers.
Or, sliced bread.
You might not understand at first.
But, I think I will make a believer out of you.
It is. . . (drum roll)
Potted Boxwoods!
Let me show you why they are so fantastic.
We have exciting news at our house. . .
There is a flurry of activity on our front porch.
With so much happening out there,
I decided that I should make our new guests feel welcome.
Spring is on it’s way.
I think. . .
I hope. . .
Time to get those outdoor spaces ready.
It will eventually warm up, right?!
