Have you been inspired?
Have the last 2 days filled your mind with mantel decorating ideas?
I sure hope so!
I have taken a few notes on some things I’d like to do next year!
It’s always so much fun to see how everyone decorates!
So here is the final day of the Christmas Mantel Tour!
Enjoy!
This is the year that I plan for Christmas. Like REALLY plan. Every. Last. Detail.
I’m usually a fly by the seat of my pants girl.
Not this year.
This year my motto is: “If you fail to plan, You plan to fail.”
So today I’m going to be sharing my to-do list for this week.
And don’t forget:
Yesterday was just amazing…ideas and inspiration galore!
So while y’all sit back and enjoy these tours…I’ll be getting ready for Christmas.
I know…I know what you’re thinking…
…it’s too early to be thinking about Christmas decorations!
But this year I am going to be prepared for December.
I’m not going to be running around like a wild woman…irritated with people who are driving too slow…and frustrated that the store doesn’t have what I’m looking for…and grabbing dinner on the run every night because there is just too much to get done.
Not me.
Not this year.
This year I am going to be sipping hot chocolate with my girls…curling up by a fire watching Christmas movies…making cookies for friends…driving around looking at Christmas lights…and enjoying every minute of this special holiday.
And in order for that to happen. I am going to have to get a head start.
Which means decorating a few spaces a bit earlier than usual.
Sonya from At Home With The Barkers and I have teamed up to bring you some mantel inspiration!
For the next 3 days, we are going to be bringing you the best of the best of Christmas Mantel Ideas!
So here is my mantel all decked out for Christmas.
Make sure to check the end of this post for more Christmas Mantel Ideas!
I grew up in the era of not being able to choose whatever you wanted to watch on TV.
There was no Netflix or On Demand…
…it was whatever the networks decided to play.
I’d always come home from school…grab a snack…and watch some TV.
If I was lucky, it was Leave It To Beaver, or The Brady Bunch, or The Beverly Hillbillies.
There were stretches of time that Laverne and Shirley was on.
Not my favorite show, but entertaining enough that I’d still sit and eat my snack and watch the entire episode.
{And, have a few laughs with Lenny and Squiggy.}
I remember well the iconic “L” that was stitched to every shirt Laverne wore.
So, the whole time I was making these monograms, I couldn’t help but hum the theme song. 🙂
“One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Sclemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated.
We’re gonna do it!”
Here is how to make monogram gift tags!
Is your front door still needing a little Christmas cheer?
All you need is 15 minutes, 4 supplies, and a friend with a magnolia tree.
If you don’t have a friend with a magnolia tree…I suggest you bake a fudge pie…drive around until you find a magnolia…knock on their front door with the pie in hand…and ask for a few leaves in return. 🙂
Luckily, I happen to have a friend who gladly shares her leaves with me!
{Thanks, Becky! :)}
And here is how to make a magnolia leaf Christmas wreath!
Remember when I decorated Anna Belle’s room a few weeks back?
With all of her white walls, and bright colors, I knew that decorating her room for Christmas was going to be loads of fun.
Daisy takes care of her own decorations.
And Lila Mae’s room is really more of a playroom with a bed…I mean she has a Christmas tree in there, but I’ll wait until some of the toys clear out before I share too many pictures. 🙂
But, Anna Belle loves for me to decorate her room…so I get to have fun in there!
So here are a few ideas for decorating with bright colors for Christmas!
