My daughters might have the greatest elementary art teacher

on the planet.

No joke.

And, with such an amazing art teacher,

a lot of amazing art work has come into our house.

Entirely too beautiful to store in boxes under beds.

As much as I would love to frame up every piece of art,

my pocketbook won’t allow it…

…Washi tape to the rescue!

Embroidery Hoop Pin Board

I have a confession to make.

You are going to be shocked at what I am about to tell you.

Well, maybe not shocked. . .

. . . just, mildly disappointed.

I take pictures for my blog almost daily.

But. . .

. . . I rarely have my camera with me to take pictures of special memories of my kiddos.

I am ashamed.

I just forget to have the camera with me?!

So, a few years back,

I bought each one of my daughters their very own digital camera.

I had their names engraved on the front.

I bought cute little camera cases that would attach to their belt loops.

I was really trying to give them ownership of this.

Then, I gave them the assignment to photograph their own special memories.

Unfortunately, they seem to forget their cameras most of the time as well. . .

Like mother, like daughter.

Until recently,

Daisy has taken on the challenge,

and has come up with some super cute pictures.

(Having her I-phone has helped.)

She loves to use Instagram.

And, she just figured out how to print the pictures off.

Now, we are trying to find a home for all of these pictures.

My New Blog!

Daisy Mae Belle has had a makeover!

A SUPER HUGE THANK YOU to Jason Burgess for the new look!

And, another SUPER HUGE THANK YOU to my brother-in-law, Paul for helping me get my logo off of my sketch pad and onto the computer!
I have virtually no computer skills, so I never could have done anything like this!!!

I hope that you enjoy the new site!

I was wanting a cleaner look that was easier to navigate.  I think I have gotten just that!

Now, on to a couple of quick pictures.

Burlap and Plaid Letters

Wow!  December is here!

We have already had 3 Christmas events and had to miss one.  And, it is only the 2nd day of December.  I LOVE the holidays, but the schedule can be exhausting!  Luckily, I am going to bed early tonight. . . and, I think I might watch ELF as I drift off to sleep.

I shared the nursery that I had the great pleasure of decorating for my best friend a few days ago.

Today, I am going to show you how I made the burlap and plaid letters that hang over Jack’s bed.

How to Make a “Vintage” Sign using Picmonkey

I recently decorated a baby nursery for precious baby Jack who is due to arrive on December the 11th.  The family is Alabama fans, so I wanted to include a little houndstooth and a few elephants.  I decided to create a gallery wall with these ideas in mind.

I had pinned a tutorial about how to make vintage signs from diddle dumpling.  I must say that it was very helpful, but I did change a couple of things.

DIY Ribbon Lampshade

I cannot believe it, but we are almost finished decorating Daisy’s room.

I will show the full reveal in a few days.  It might be after Thanksgiving.  The cooking is about to begin at this house, so the decorating will have to wait.

I also plan on getting the rest of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving.  I have a lot to do!

Here is the latest project that we completed.  I have seen versions of these all over Pinterest, but never pinned one to know who to give the credit to!  I just “pinned” it in my mind!  So, here is how I made this one.
